The Aboriginal Flag represents Aboriginal Australians. It is one of the officially proclaimed flags of Australia.

The flag was designed in 1971 by Harold Thomas an Aboriginal artist who is descended from the Luritja people of Central Australia.

The black of the flag symbolises Aboriginal people, the yellow represents the sun, the constant re-newer of life and the red depicts the earth and peoples' relationship to the land. It also represents ochre, which is used by Aboriginal people in ceremonies.
