The Dancing Wombat artwork tells a story of the Kulin Nation. The gum leaves symbolise both a welcome to country as well as a passport to ensure friends and strangers observe Bunjils law. Bunjil the wedge tailed eagle is the creator spirit for the Kulin people. The five gum leaves represent the five language groups that make up the Kulin nation. The language and symbols are unique to South East Australia. The Dancing Wombat is by Mick Harding. Mick belongs to the Yowung-Illam-Baluk clan of the Taungwurung people - a tribe of the Kulin nation.
